How can I download Snonav?

You can download Snonav from the Apple App Store Starting December 2020.

Is there an Android version of Snonav?

The Snonav team is hard at work creating an Android app which we aim to release for the 2021/22 season.

Can I use the Snonav App if I don't have wifi or cellular service?

Yes. We recommend that you download the ski area maps that you need when you have a wifi connection. Once the map is downloaded though, all routing and navigation works offline. You will need a data connection to receive live lift and trail open/close status, but if you lose connectivity at any time, the app will automatically update live status upon reconnecting.

Does Snonav work on any iPhone or iOS device?

At the current time Snonav will work with any iPhone with iOS 13 or above installed. This includes the iPhone SE (1st gen) iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. However, the iPhone 6 does not support iOS 13 so is not supported. All models from iPhone 7 and above are supported. iPads are not currently supported.

How do I transfer my purchase, after buying a new iPhone?

Once you buy a new phone, just install the app and login, and all of your information will be updated onto your new phone.

Using Snonav

How do I use Snonav?

Follow these steps:
1. Download Snonav from the  Apple App Store
2. Register to unlock features and get your free trial 1-Day Pass   
3. Download the resort maps you want, set your ski preferences and start exploring!

Once you’re at the resort/on the mountain:
1. Set your skiing preferences for the day
2. Search or choose your start point and destination
3. If using audio headset/headphones within your helmet, pair your device 
4. When you’re ready to go, press Start. This will prompt you to activate your pass and begin navigation. 

Do I need headphones to use Snonav?

Snonav works best with earbuds or headphones within your helmet/headwear. If you choose not to use voice guidance, Snonav navigation will still update your position and route on the map and dynamically re-route when necessary.

If I’m listening to music or on a call, will I still hear the voice guidance?

Yes, Snonav is played over your existing music or phone call, just like Google Maps, etc.

Snonav Passes

How do I get more Snonav Passes?

Once you’ve used your free trial 1-Day Pass, you can purchase more passes. Simply go to the Passes section in the main menu where you can choose between a 1-Day Pass, 6 x 1-Day Passes or an Annual Pass.

Where can I find my Snonav passes?

All passes are stored in your app.  To find them, 
- Go to the drop down menu from the search bar 
- Select “Passes”  and all active passes will be shown in this area

How does a 1-Day Pass work?

Each 1-Day Pass gives access to all Snonav features for 24 hours from the time you activate the pass. It can be used in any Snonav ski area - and even in multiple ski areas within the same 24-hour period.

Does the 1-Day Pass have an expiry date?

No, the 1-Day Passes don’t expire, they can be used at any time in the future. Once you activate your pass, it will be valid for 24 hours.

How does the 6 x 1-Day Pass work?

This is simply 6 individual 1-Day Passes made available at a discounted price. Each 1-Day Pass can be used as and when you choose - they can be used in different resorts and on non-consecutive days.

How does the Annual Pass work?

The Annual Pass uses the standard Apple auto-renewing subscription model. This means that the pass becomes active as soon as you purchase it and expires exactly one year later. You will be reminded when your pass is about to expire and prompted to choose whether to renew or not.

Can I split my 1-Day Pass between two ½ days of skiing?

No unfortunately you can’t do that.  A 1-Day Pass will expire 24 hours after activation.

Why is my resort not available in Snonav?

We’re a small start-up company and we had to start somewhere! We launched the app in Dec 2020 with a first selection of resorts and we plan to add many more for the 2021/22 ski season and beyond. If your favorite resort is missing, let us know by clicking here so we can add yours to our list!

Can anyone become an Ambassador?

Yes, anyone who is 18 years of age, can register on our app and become an Ambassador.

How can I tell how close I am to getting more free stuff?

Once registered on the App as an Ambassador, you can track where you stand based on your referrals, located under the Share Snonav area of the drop down list.

How do I get my Ambassador Merchandise?

Once you reach a level where Merchandise should be sent out to you, we will send you an email requesting the address of where your Snonav Merch should go.
